So, we have been waiting for the birth of the royal baby. He is here now! Gave birth to him 5:26am this morning.
The new baby is the seventh in line to the throne. That’s after Prince of Wales, Prince William (Duke of Cambridge), Prince George (Son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), Princess Charlotte (Daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), Prince Louis (Son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), Prince Harry (the father). It’s a long wait I’m afraid!
There have been speculations that the baby may arrive in the next couple of days following the prince’s cancellation of his two-day planned visit to Holland this week. He’s arrived today! so his decision to cancel the visit gave something away after all!
It has also been speculated that the public will not get a glimpse of the beautiful baby on the day of birth. This has led to influx of public opinions, as it is a break from royal tradition. Yes, the public are not having it! But the prince did a great job announcing the birth of his first child to the public anyways! He was also present at the birth and his own words:
“it has been the most amazing experience. Both mother and baby are doing incredibly well. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But, we’re absolutely thrilled. I am so incredibly proud of my wife. And as every father and parent would say, your baby is absolutely amazing. This little thing is absolutely to-die- for; so am absolutely over the moon.”
The public are very super excited about the gender of the baby. Although, there have been rumours that the Duke and Duchess are planning to bring up their child gender neutral; there are no grounds for the rumours. What we now know is that it is a baby boy. Those throngs of people waiting should be happy now!
By the way, if the Duke and Duchess decide on their move to Africa, would this be an indication of where they plan to raise the baby? Just asking!
Anyways, I am looking forward to celebrating with the Duke and Duchess first child and seventh in line to the throne. Watch this space…
